The original has a monster groove filled with a lot microsampling-house like parts and little influences from the so called good old “Brighton Techno”. Julien Chaptal is known for his deep housy grooves which he recentlypresented on his Tokens LP on Area Remote and all his other work for this label and 100% Pure. On side B of the Forward Funk, he added much more housy and playful percussions to the beats of the remix version to get a more gallant way of house in this track.
