DJ Hell: my favourite is frank kusserows track....!!!!!really nice vibe !!
Pig & Dan: “Fantastic as always”
Tony Rohr: “Smokin”
Parallel to bringing out the third compilation of “We Are Punks”, it is of course a point of honour for Datapunk to bring out the tracks unmixed and on vinyl in the record shops. The title "Dead End Turn" by Frank Kusserow from Frankfurt, whose mind-blowing single "The Core" made him one of the most important label acts in a very short time, is taking the listeners gently by the hand with hypnotic Chicago housedub, but the mysterious harmonies and slo mo parts give the track a surprisingly spooky feel. Marcus Schmahl aka Broombeck, to date known primarily for his ambient project Guardner on Elektrolux, is backing the currently very sought-after percussion techno sound with his bass accentuated "temperature", while Patrick Zigon from Constance shines with modern deep dubtechno ("Only She Knows"). Tony Rohr completes the quartet with an until now completely unpublished remix of Rother’s "Planet Telekraft", who completely deconstructs the piece around the vocoder, and in spite of this just continues onwards. Into each other, around each other, an interwoven and yet in itself a conclusive diversity.
